Detention With Mr Dodd (Those That Can Do, Those That Can't Teach)
Airing on Channel 107/GOODLAUG radio is a series about a school where Miss Trunchbull from Matilda would seem like a more lenient option. If it's not so authoritarian you couldn't even blink without being given detention, so brutal that you could ask for help from Amnesty International, life in the school is so ridiculous that the only thing you could learn in the school is how stupid some people are. Welcome to the world of Detention With Mr Dodd!
Mr Dodd - Timid, meak and completely subservient to authority, whilst he is completely dominated by his egotistical and tyrannical boss he is petty and exacting about what he expects from his students and fairly ruthless about it, apart from the dedication to his work he has so little other personality that he is often labelled boring, he realises that his only success is what little he gets out of his teaching and feels that the rest of his life is a failure, which Peach is only too happy to remind him of!
Mr Peach
Born to be a boss but also too downright lazy to be bothered to actually do what the job actually entails he somehow managed to become headmaster of Neston School, he bases his life around getting whatever he wants and he always gets it but nothing ever satisfies him and that then becomes the fault of everyone around him, he rules the school like a military dictator but with such poor standards it is the worst in the country, he eats, sleeps and slacks off and does just about enough sucking up to his own boss (Mr Kingsmeal) that he gets to do it all over again.

Doesn't really want to have enforce standards due to high pay and enjoying his perks and hoping to have the minimum hassle for it, but due to Mr Peach has no choice but to visit Neston time and time again, every time he tries to knock him into shape it isn't quite enough.
The Pupils
Bruno
He is the most typical school bully, not only does he enjoy intimidating his fellow pupils he also enjoys acting up and wrecking things, causing trouble is his forte and Peach just had to place him in Dodd's class knowing he would have no clue as to how to handle him. Dodd can only try to discipline him which is only scoffed at by Bruno, as part of his intimidation regime, he has a dog called Biter which is a good choice of name. He's about as interested in learning anything at school as Peach would be in a bowl of salad.
Billy - At year 11 he still doesn't know his alphabet or how to count up to 10, there's not much else to say about his biography except to point out that he's unbelievably thick, an d Neston School has done about nada to help.
Timmy
He is another stereotype, the class nerd and proud of it, he barely learns anything because he has covered it already and therefore is always the target of Bruno and if not defending himself from him is spending the rest of class time explaining things to Billy who asks him the most inane questions and remains thicker than a castle wall, although Timmy would be the model pupil he also tends to get Dodd's back up by demonstrating better knowledge and pointing out anything Dodd hasn't got quite right, therefore gets treated with disdain even by Dodd. Timmy is also enthusiastic about school despite all that's thrown at him.
Dodo
Dodd's sister Dodo just doesn't put up with any of Dodd's stuffy and pretentious nonsense and never misses a chance to put him and his ego back in place, she also makes a nuiscance of herself getting him to do favours for her, such as driving her somewhere after she loses her licence and picking up things from the shop. Dodd although irritated by his sisters company still chooses it because otherwise he'd have to spend all the rest of the time outside of school on his own.
Bruce - The husband of Dodd has about enough time for Dodd as Peach would for some daily exercise. Bruce is annoyed by Dodd's ego and sense of superiority and so reminds Dodd of his success in life by comparison, such as his ownership of a Mercedes and general wealth which he is happy to flaunt, however Bruce might brag about what he is capable of it doesn't conflate with the reality.
Kiki - owner of local chippy (The Village Chef)
Doesn't realise how exasperated he's going to get when he takes Mr Peach on for a day of work experience.

A trip to Neston's scenic Ness Gardens has Dodd's pupils exhibit bizarre items for the show & tell in the science fair.

As Simon Cowell holds "Britain's Got Talent" in Neston High School, he certainly discovers that Neston isn't going to make the grade for the show.

Episode 12 - Peach's Appreciation Day
After being slightly upset about the results of attempting to hold Britain's Got Talent in Neston High School, Peach gets his retribution on the pupils and teachers by forcing them into a day of slavery where anything he wants, goes.

A christmas themed episode I'm sure you guessed, Peach dictates that the students even have to come in on Christmas Day to class where there is only unwanted presents, retribution and madness to celebrate the day which concludes with the school's giant christmas tree being mercilessly hacked down.

After destroying his clapped out car when he changes from 5th to 1st gear Dodd tries to use public transport to get to the school instead only to inadvertently end up going to Scotland!

Ordered to find another job for the day after Kingsmeal the inspector finds out he deliberately sleeps in at the school until 3pm, Peach manages to land his dream job working for a local chippy (Little Neston's The Village Chef), being somewhat enthusiastic about fast food as he is he soon manages to wreak havoc for owner Kiki who ends up paying him in sausages!

When Dodd realises he hasn't been with a woman for over 20 years and Peach realises how bored of his wife he has become, they end up going on a double date involving a ridiculous evening in the Kri Kri Greek restaurant in Neston and making a nuisance of themselves at an all night cinema..

After Peach reveals he has been served a court injunction banning him from going trick or treating as an adult due to incidents last year he enlists Dodd to go on his behalf so he can still collect his usual chocolate and sweets based bounty, of course that goes perfectly well doesn't it!
Episode 24 - A Party With a Bang
Peach gets drunk at a bonfire night party he hosts at his own place and manages to destroy permanent records, Dodd's school work he is marking and his whole house after setting off fireworks when he is drunk.
Episode 25 - Mr Dodd The Headteacher
After Kingsmeal orders Dodd to be promoted to Peach's position whilst he suffers a demotion, Peach gets retribution when they go out together as staff to a branch of Little Chef.
Episode 26 - Class Went Up a Hill and fell down a mountain (Snowdon)
In order to improve the fitness of the class, Peach orders a field trip to Snowdon, once there everything about the trip "falls into place".
Episode 27 - Christmas 2 - Snowed In For Christmas (joint episode with Dodd & Peach series)
Dodd is elated when they are snowed into the school with the prospect of not being able to break free even in time for the christmas period which means another Christmas Day in class and more bizarre passive aggressive gifts.
Episode 28 - To Be or Not To Be (Any Good)
Dodd attempts to organise a theatre production in school but he realises the only way the pupils can act is to act up, so on the night the source of the entertainment is not from the play itself.

Peach demands that the pupils get on Facebook and add him to support a petition to finally open a branch of McDonalds in Neston, when one does but a national burger shortage hits, he goes on an odyssey across the North West looking for a McDonalds that's still serving more than salad.

Bruce opens a new restaurant and runs it into the ground on the first night with his bizarre way of running it.
Episode 31 - An Unexpected Swinging Party (New Year) (joint with Dodd & Peach series)
Dodd thinks he will spend his New Year's Eve doing his marking and taxes again until Peach knocks on his door and turns his flat into a party, how will the night turn out for them?
